One Six One founder, Charlie Kirk-Martin, recognizes that the traditional salon concepts do not work. At Salon One Six One, you'll have the ability to build a solid business while enjoying true work-life balance. We don't require you to sign a contract, as we trust that our stylists will respect the environment that we've curated over the past 13 years.
We offer advanced education and training for experienced stylists who are looking to take their skills to the next level. Our team is committed to staying current with the latest trends and techniques, and we believe in investing in our stylists' ongoing development.

Associate training program
Our associate program is designed to offer real hands-on learning with a team of experienced stylists, while also providing foundational education to help you meet the needs of any guest that you may encounter.
As an associate, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with stylists who have over 15 years of experience in the industry. They'll share their expertise with you and help you hone your skills in blonding, multi-dimensional coloring, texture, trending cuts, and more.
We believe that building a solid business takes time and effort. That's why our program offers you the tools and resources you need to succeed, including in-house education and an education allowance with each year on the floor.
